What data we collect and why
This website does not use contact forms, sign-up flows, or tracking analytics. The only personal data we process is information you voluntarily provide by emailing us directly at richard@secondcurve.nl.
When you email us, we may process:
- Your name and email address
- The content of your message and any subsequent correspondence
- Any other information you choose to share in your communication
This information is used solely for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and, if appropriate, discussing a potential advisory engagement.
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — specifically, responding to enquiries from individuals who have voluntarily contacted us. Where an engagement begins, processing is additionally based on the performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
How long we keep your data
Correspondence is retained for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was received — typically the duration of an enquiry or engagement, plus a reasonable period thereafter for follow-up. We do not retain personal data for longer than necessary.
If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so promptly, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your information is not passed to any external organisation except where strictly necessary (for example, email service providers used to deliver correspondence).
Any third-party service providers we use are required to handle data in compliance with GDPR.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising purposes. No data about your visit is collected, stored, or shared with third parties for marketing or analytics. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any equivalent tracking technology.
Standard web server logs may capture your IP address and basic request information as part of normal hosting operations. This data is not used for profiling and is deleted in the ordinary course of server log rotation.
